Accounting and Information Systems

Dr. Sara Sabry is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Information Systems at the Faculty of International Business and Humanities (FIBH), where she has been a faculty member since October 2017. She holds a Msc. in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce, Alexandria University, an MBA from Edinburgh Business School (2010), and a PhD in Auditing and Information Systems (2018). Her academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of accounting, information systems, and machine learning, with a particular focus on their application in business education and organizational decision-making. Dr. Sabry is especially interested in how emerging technologies—such as artificial intelligence and data analytics—can enhance financial reporting, auditing, and strategic planning. Her research adopts a multidisciplinary approach, spanning auditing, behavioral research, and finance. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Sabry delivers corporate training programs in Egypt, focusing on the practical applications of AI and data analytics in business contexts. She is committed to advancing the integration of technology into accounting and auditing education, aiming to prepare future professionals with the digital competencies and critical thinking skills needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven business environment.

My research interests lie at the intersection of accounting, information systems, and machine learning, with a strong focus on their applications in business education. I am particularly interested in exploring how emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and data analytics, can enhance financial reporting, auditing processes, and decision-making within organizations. Additionally, I am passionate about advancing the integration of technology into business education, aiming to equip future professionals with the digital skills and critical thinking abilities necessary for success in a rapidly evolving business environment.
