A COMMUNITY-RESEARCHER TRAINER (QUALITATIVE RESEARCH METHODS AND ANALYSIS) ON THE COMMUNITY PRACTITIONER RESEARCH PROGRAMME (CPRP) DELIVERY IN GAZA (ONLINE COURSE)
APRIL 2022-JANUARY 2023
As part of our responsibilities, the team leader and I conducted online training for Palestinian researchers at the Palestine Trauma Centre (PTC). The training was focused on teaching them the fundamental principles and methods of qualitative research. To ensure that language barriers did not hinder their understanding of the training, I prepared all the training material in Arabic. The training was divided into three units, each containing a specific task. For each interview they conducted, participants were required to fill out a self-reflection form. This helped them measure their progress and identify the areas where they needed to improve. Based on their feedback, we conducted additional sessions to cover the skills they needed to learn. Moreover, participants shared their work and self-reflection with the group, which was an excellent opportunity for everyone to learn from each other's mistakes.
