Norhan Nady was born in Cairo, Egypt. She obtained the B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering from Alexandria University in 2002. In April 2003, she worked at Alexandria Shipyard as a Production/Chemical Engineer in the fiber glass workshop. In December 2004, she employed at Polymeric Material Research Department, Advanced Technology and New Material Research Institute (ATNMRI), City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications (SRTA-city), Alexandria as a Research Assistant. Norhan defend her M.Sc. in 2007 and raised her academic position to Assistant Researcher. In October 2007, she was accepted as PhD student in Wageningen University to start her research between Food Process Engineering Group and Laboratory of Organic Chemistry in February 2008. She got her PhD degree in March 2012. The outputs of her work were four international papers and a patent (European Patent No. 10169842.1-1214, (2010), US Patent Application No: 2013/0217, 839 (2013), X-flow is the applicant). Norhan raised her academic position to Doctor Researcher in October 2012 at SRTA-city. In 2013, She Joined Egyptian-Japanese University for Science and technology (E-JUST), Alexandria as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Energy, Environment and Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering. Dr. Nady got full position at E-JUST since 2016. Dr. Nady focuses her research on Membrane Science and Technology, green chemistry, Surface Modification, and Desalination. She got a funding for a project from Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) (Membrane Biofouling field, L.E. 750 K, 2014-2017) and she joined another projects such as (Photocatalysis field, L.E. 1.5 M 2014-2016) and supervises 7 students (3 M.Sc and 4 PhD). Dr. Nady has two local patents' records; 1. Novel multilayer polymeric membrane with carbon nanotubes and its applications in membrane distillation. Request No. 1640/2018 - date: 15th October 2018 and 2. Novel PES/PVDF Blend Membrane and its composite with Modified Graphene Nano Platelets for Membrane Distillation Applications Request No. 2027/2018 - date: 17th December 2018.Dr. Nady got many awards such as the third place and the bronze prize in the field of water and Society for a setup entitled “Integrated membrane distillation unit with a novel membrane” at Cairo Innovative International Festival, Egypt (2019), 2nd poster prize, 29th EMS Summer school “Membranes for liquid separations from an industrial & academic point of view”, Germany (2013), and Scientific Achievement, City of Scientific Research and Technological Application (SRTA-City), Egypt (2012 and 2016).Dr. Nady can be reached through her e-mail address: Norhan.Nady77@yahoo.com
