Materials Science and Engineering

Dr. Gepreel is of metallurgical engineering background how got his B.Sc. (in1999) and M.Sc. (in 2004) from Suez Canal University and Cairo University, respectivly. He got his PhD from Nagoya University, Japan in 2008 in Materials Science and Engineering. He worked in Nagoya University then Tohoku University, Japan, till 2010 when he moved to Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Egypt. He is professor of advanced materials at E-JUST since 2019 and leading the Ad-vanced Functional Metallic Materials Lab. His research is focusing on alloy design and microstructure control of advanced alloys. He worked in developing New generation of Ti-alloys for biomedical applications, Ultra-high strength Ti-alloys, Negative and zero thermal expansion alloys and recently developing new functional High entropy alloys. He received the State's Award (Egypt) in Engineering, 2014, beside more than 15 national and international awards. He was visiting professors to many well-known institutes, such as; Tohoku University, Japan, IIT-Madras, India, Michigan State University, USA, Korean Basic Science Institute, Korea, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Russia.  He supervised more than 20 M.Sc. and 17 PhD thesis. He shared in organizing 15 International conferences. He was invited as Keynote speaker /invited speaker for more than 25 international conferences worldwide. He had 20 funded research projects (national and international) and more than 200 publications [including filed 10 Patents, 10 Book chapters, 100 Journal papers, and 90 international conferences] with total citation >4500.
