Mohsen Ghali works as full Professor of Quantum Electronics, Institute of Basic and Applied Sciences (BAS), in Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Egypt since July 2017. He was the Head of Nanophotonics laboratory, Physics Department, Faculty of Science, Kafrelsheikh University (October 2013-July 2017) and Head of Physics Department, Faculty of Science, Kafrelsheikh University (2016- July 2017). Dr Ghali received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Physics from Tanta University, Tanta, Egypt, and the Ph.D. degree in “Physics of Spintronics” from Institute of Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland in 2004 (with distinction). Since 2004, he has been with the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Kafrelsheikh University. From October 2005-September 2008, he was a post-doctoral researcher at “Werkstof der electroteknic” “Electronic Materials” Department, Faculty of Engineering, Duisburg-Essen University, Germany. From October 2008-June 2009, he was an Assistant Professor at Physics Department, Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. From July 2009-April 2012, he received the prestigious International Excellent Young Researcher fellowship through Global Centre of Excellence in Tohoku University, Laboratory of Nanoelectronics and Spintronics, Sendai, Japan. His research interests are Optical Spectroscopy of Single Quantum Dots, Nanodevices, Photonics and Magnetic Materials. He received the best PhD award (Cume Laude) from Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland in 2004. His research on Nanophotonics was highlighted several times in Nature Communication, Nature Japan, Nature Middle East and Scientific American newspapers. Dr. Ghali has 7 patents in the field of Optoelectronics materials and devices, and 40 published research journal papers.
