Dr. Ibrahem Maher currently holds the position of a Full time Associate Professor within the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department (IME) at the School of Innovative Design Engineering (IDE), Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (EJUST), Egypt. Dr. Maher completed his BSC and MSC degrees at Assiut University, Egypt, and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He is highly recognized as a leading researcher in the field of advanced manufacturing processes, additive manufacturing, and Nontraditional machining processes. Dr. Maher's research pursuits cover a wide range of topics including additive manufacturing, EDM, Wire-cut EDM, Laser machining, CNC machining, materials processing, surface & coating engineering, applied soft computing (Fuzzy, Neural network, ANFIS, Taguchi design, RSM, ...), micro-machining, ecofriendly nanofluid lubricant, MQL, and ultrasonic assisted machining. Throughout his career, Dr. Maher has secured over 3M EGP (Egyptian Pound) in research funding from the Egyptian government. His scholarly contributions consist of 1 patent, 2 book chapters, and more than 35 journal and conference papers, with over 27 being ISI journal publications. Dr. Maher has provided guidance to over 10 PhD and MSC students and served as an external examiner for over 5 doctoral and master candidates. He is recognized as a reliable reviewer for some of the best international journals within his area of expertise.
