Isam R. Hamza is Professor of Japanese Studies. He received his Litt.D. in Japanese Studies from Osaka University, Japan in 1991. Prior of his current academic appointment, he was appointed a Dean of Faculty of foreign languages and Translation at Misr University of Science and Technology, "Marubeni" Chair in Humanities at Qatar University, State of Qatar, Professor of Japanese Studies, a head of Japanese Language and Literature Department, and a Vice-Dean at Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, Egypt. He also taught at Osaka University for foreign Studies, Osaka University of Education, Waseda University, Defense Academy of Japan, and Cairo University. His publications Have appeared in :Faculty of letters Bulletin of Osaka University, Periodical of the Scientific Association for History of Japanese Thought, Mitashi-gakkai at Keio University, Studies in Asian Cultures Periodical at International Christian University in Tokyo-Japan, Center for Political and Strategic Studies at Al-Ahram Institution, Asian Center Studies of Faculty of Economic and Political Studies, and the Bulletin of Faculty of Arts at Cairo University Egypt.
