Hamdy Hassan received his Ph.D. from Bordeaux University, France, in 2009, and his M.Sc. and B.Sc., both in mechanical engineering, from Assiut University, Faculty of Engineering, Egypt. Dr. Hassan is currently an associate professor in Energy Resources Engineering at Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Alexandria from 20016 until now. Previous to E-JUST, Dr. Hassan was an associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at Assiut University, Dr. Hassan served as a post-doc position in 2010-2011 at University of Valenciennes, France and also in 2012-2014 as post-doc at University of Valenciennes, France. Dr. Hassan current research interests focus on: Photovoltaic thermal regulations, Desalination using renewable energy resources, Solar Systems. Renewable energy applications in buildings, Heat recovery using Thermoelectric generators, Biofuels, Thermal and thermochemical energy storage, Heat pipes, Heat transfer, smart grids. Dr. Hassan supervised more than twenty master and P.hD. students in different energy fields.
