Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department (IME)

I joined the Faculty of Engineering at Alexandria University, Egypt in 2000. I graduated from the production engineering department from which I graduated in 2005 ranked the second on my class. I was appointed a teaching assistant position at the same department. My duties included conducting labs and tutorials for the courses of manufacturing, drawing of machine elements and assemblies, materials technology, design of machine elements, theory of vibrations, and machinery condition monitoring. In year 2008, I obtained my masters in the topic of dynamic characterization of metallic materials. Later in 2009, I was awarded German academic exchange program (DAAD) full scholarship to pursue his Ph.D. degree at Bremen University, in the field of machine tool dynamics and control, which I obtained in 2013. During my stay in Bremen institute for mechanical engineering, I assisted in holding labs and tutorials of experimental modal analysis and dynamic testing of machine tool axes for undergraduate classes. In 2014, I started working at Alexandria University as an assistant professor teaching undergraduate courses, supervising graduate researchers, and provide technical consultations for the Egyptian industry. Not to mention that I was awarded the Fulbright post-doctoral grant in 2016. I am an author of many publications in different conferences and journals. My research interests include machine tool dynamics, machinery condition monitoring, and dynamic characterization of novel and recycled materials.
